About the band:
"Swedish folk music's equivalent to The Rolling Stones; Melpa-Jockes Jam Club".
This band of "folk rockers" hails from the middle parts of Sweden, the land of the green gold that made Sweden the country it is today.
Tunes from 'way back', from the days before electricity and pre-fab food with a twist of modern punk, rock, and pop.
The mission: To bring folk music to the places and people that normally don't listen to folk music.
Om Skivan:
Melpa-Jockes Jam Club's first album contains mostly tunes from when the wood stove was the main source of heat and a home rarely had more than two rooms, one to sleep in and one for everything else.
Inspired by the great masters of old and with musical roots in Swedish punk using raw, simple and natural musicality they has created something new and exciting.
